New Hunter accompanying Hunter in Blind

Hey guys I had a quick question that I cant find a clear answer out on the DEC website.  My little sister is finally getting her hunting license this year.  She will be doing a combo course for Hunting and Bow in March.  Now my question, is she allowed to sit in a blind with me for spring turkey?  She would obviously not be hunting, nor even holding a bow, just to sit and accompany me while getting used to sitting in a blind for hours.  I know she obviously doesn't have 2014/2015 tags so I just want to make sure its okay for her to sit with me.  I thought it would be a good way to break her into sitting quietly in the spring rather than in the fall when she will be purchasing a 2015/2016 license.  If you could help me out I would really appreciate it.

Should not be a problem as far as I'm aware....but a phone call to local dec wouldn't hurt

Ok cool, I'll give them a call in the morning.  25 year old sister, see how she does sitting quietly in one spot for a few hours, might have to confiscate the old cell phone...

Lol yea I plan on taking my 5 yr old bow hunting with me this year...see if he can sit still enough to not get spotted

not a problem as long as she's not "assisting" in the hunt in any way.

If she is not holding a bow and there isn't an "extra" bow there of course she can  ! No need to call anyone .... its no ones business !

Yes she can she can not hold the bow at any time but she would be allowed to call if you want her to help you

If she's taking the course in March, why wouldn't she be hunting in May?

actually, I think if she wants to assist in the actual hunt.....such as calling, she would need to possess a valid hunting license.

I took my 26 year old fiance deer hunting this year for the first time, and she was quiet as a church mouse.  Of course, that's probably because she fell asleep in the first 5 minutes and slept through the whole hunt.
