Cabelas Wooltimate Clothing

Has anyone tried the wooltimate clothing from cabelas? or do you have suggestions for other wool clothing? thanks!

I had a set of coveralls and they were warm as all get out.Make sure you buy the windshear it makes a big difference.I sold them because I learned that I hate coveralls!!LOL

I have them. awesome stuff. warm and not terribly bulky. great for all day sits in the cold. Wool is excellent with the rain compared with other stuff.

I have been wearing the wooltimate for years with the windshear and love it. Only problem is that it doesn't breath enough for more strenuous activity like dragging or tracking.

If they still offered it without the windshear lining, I would buy a suit just for tracking.

Decided to go with the berber fleece pullover with windshear and the berber extreme bibs for cold weather/gun hunting camo combo, cabelas has a deal going on all their camo, believe it ends today though.

wooltimate and their berber fleece with windshear are both great, ideally only buy on sale now or after season in jan/feb

Is the wooltimate machine washable?  Does it shrink?

 

I've been using older King of the Mountain "washable wool" and unless I'm real careful, it shrinks, a lot!!

 

Also use Johnson woolen mills stuff and can't wash it till after season, Whew ee!!!

Have owned a woolimate jacket with the windshear for some years now, more than 10 anyway; favorite hunting coat and goes everywhere.

I machine wash cold and hang to dry, occasionaly tumbled on low, haven't had a shrinking problem.

Nybuckhunter... the bargain cave at cabelas has a lot the wooltimate pieces on sale right now.  I just purchased a 2nd vest and jacket.  I believe both items were roughly 50% off.

All my non wool clothes must have shrank too. I know nothing of any extra craft beer and late night snacks pounds I put on

 

I always wondered how heavy wool gets when it gets wet .
