Red dot scope for a slug gun

Hi Guys and gals,

 

I'm shopping for a red dot scope for a 20 gauge slug gun.  I haven't bought a red dot scope since the 90's so I am totally out of touch with what is new and better that most.  So for those of you who use red dot scopes on slug guns, what are you having success with?

Well mine is from the 90's as well, aimpoint. Can't beat them for shotgun slug hunting, or for a turkey gun.

Have some super duper model Aimpoint on my Winchester 1300. I like it but it lacks in any magnification . The battery lasts forever but always worry it'll die at the worst possible moment. Like when it's shouldered with the safety off.

Low powered scopes like leupold vxr 1-4 red dot works great. motion sensor activated plenty of brightness settings and if it dies in the field you still have the duplex reticle

I use 1 it works fine put a new battery in at the start of the season and use last years battery as backup never had to use the back up and I hunt about 20 days of gun season. I do use a rifle any time I can

Aimpoint 9000sc on a 20ga bolt action Savage.

 

Also have the tiny Aimpoint H-1 that swaps around between a 28 ga, 30-06 or 270win.

i have a bsa on my 12guage and the wife has a truglo on her 30-30 they both have held up very well. now on my Blackhawk I ended up going to a ultra dot my 3rd red dot in that pistol. the long guns do not recoil like the revolvers.
