DirtTime
Whats going on with Caitlynn Jenner ??? Anything new??? On Saturday morning I mowed the lawn. On Sunday afternoon I played golf. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Well, if the threads going to go to shit, I have to ask. The above quotes are sort of odd, ants asked about Caitlynn, and biz answered. Hmm..............Something you want to tell us? Still dangling ??? LOL!! Then there is this....ants appears to be asking about how bizs' "grass" is hanging. Innuendo? Hey, I swear, I have no issues with what the two of you do behind closed doors or at deer camp. If ants wants to play with biz "dangling grass" then so be it. Perhaps their the reason for the sarcasm on this thread is they are trying to spice things up and use rifle ammo for kicks.... Who knows? Maybe when we talk about "more bang for your buck" they have a different idea apart from what most of us mean. OR! Perhaps they are 'coding' the convo to talk about that 'other grass'? wildcat junkie
Yes they were loaded but they didn’t have heavy weapons (50cal). If they weren’t loaded them someone made a mistake. They were there to keep the pace not make war(keep the Israelis and the different factions from going to war) their rules of engagement were not the same as ours we went in to the city the Marines did not. The image isn’t entirely correct. Only 220 United States Marines were killed. The remaining casualties consisted of 18 killed sailors and three soldiers, for a total of 241 servicemen. Yet other than that small error, what the image claims is true — it was President Reagan’s fault that incident occurred. In fact, the official investigation and subsequent Department of Defense report found chain-of-command errors and placed fault on the Reagan administration, as well. Those Marines had been ordered into Lebanon by President Ronald Reagan as a part of an international peacekeeping force following the June 1982 Israeli invasion of that country and the Palestine Liberation Organization’s withdrawal. Making an already-dangerous situation even more hazardous, the Marines were under strict presidential orders not to load their weapons — this, so that they would appear as peacekeepers and not as armed belligerents in the conflict and despite the fact that they were moving into a war zone. Realistically, they had become “sitting ducks” from the moment they entered Beirut. And as a result of their absurd orders, when the explosives-laden truck sped toward their doomed barracks, the two unarmed guards had no way of stopping it. Culvercreek hunt club
Very good friend on mine was there. Orders on the ground, no loaded weapons. Orders on patrol, no live rounds on the Marines. The gate had live ammo but had to call for permission to fire. By that time is was over.

RSRAINS
This all depends on what ammo your rifle likes. Get both types of ammo and would recommend even other and shoot groups with your rifle and let you rifle determine which ammo works best and then let hope it is duplicated the next time you purchase it. As far as the deer goes and shot placement is I feel that the bullet is not going to be an issue.

Nobody ever made a high end custom rifle on a Mosin Nagant or chambered one in 7.62 X 54R as far as I know. steve863
I picked a Mosin-Nagant up for about $25 a few years back. Best deal I ever got on anything. Would have no issues hunting with it. More than accurate enough out to 100 yards with open sights. That's as far as I'd ever shoot without a scope anyway. Nice having a long gun like that where you could be 20 feet away and finish the deer off with the bayonet if it's still kicking. LOL. No flies on the rifle OR cartridge in my opinion.
