Moose Killed in September?

I don't remember reading or hearing about this on this site, or on the news. Anyone here posted about this one? If So I apologize for bringing it back up.

One hit by a car on 684 in Purdys and one hit by a car in New Caanan, CT  on the Merritt too.  I think within a few weeks of each other.  Maybe 5-6 years ago.

One was killed last November in Sullivan when it charged a young hunter. I remember a friend telling me that a moose was killed in 06 around neversink NY when I used to hunt there.

Maybe 10 years ago there was a young bull that made it all the way to the NE region of 8F before it was darted and sent back home. FYI - That's ~25 miles east of downtown Rochester. So I guess it's not too unusual for these young studs to travel far & wide looking for love!

Sullivan County? Any details? I hunt with a club in Sullivan County every year and none of us heard of that there.

There was definitely a moose in Putnam (mahopac) a few years back. I want to say around 2000-2002?

There was a moose in September/October all over Henderson Harbor. Both sides of my family have had several places up there since the prohibition and I never remember any moose stories. No sighting I believe since rifle opened lol

So, maybe we have more moose in this state then the DEC seems to know about. The links I posted are from this year. I think the DEC needs to stop creating all the reports based on Cornell University findings and put a$$3$ in the field and get some real stats.

I cant tell you any information about the one killed in 06 (maybe a little earlier) by a car since I was told very fast and quite a few years ago.

Hey Law. No I have not. lol  But I might soon after I get back up here. I'm flying back in a few days to deer hunt my property in NY.  By the way I have pictures of two Brown bears on my back deck before we bought the house. I'm talking right next to the BBQ grill, a couple feet from the sliding glass doors. :  0    I try to post the picture of the bears.
