Hi folks new guy here .

Just so you know my area I live in Watertown , N.Y. or Dec. 6G.

 Retired senior here with 50 years in the hunting sport. Have trapped muskrats,beaver and hunted woodchucks,ducks . marsh chickens,fox,shunks ,woodcocks, deer, pheasant and grouse.

Fell through the ice one time while trapping with my buddy. I was in the Clayton Calumet Hunting club for 24 years.biggest buck in my

life time was a 9 point near Cameron N.Y.  area 8t.  Funny thing is, I shot him in his bed.One time deer hunting in the open I was sitting on watch and there was a 8 point buck

bedding 20 feet behind me.there was cut down short tree stumps and soft field grass on this hill.Did I get him ? No, but i jumped him and could have broke my gun over his back..

 He never showed horns till he got running in front of me.Saw where he went and our club got him the next day.

 

I do not want to give the impression there is a overload of experience in the above paragraph. But i am here to also learn, to help , to chat

and meet new friends. and oh yes, to tell stories I have had happen to me in the world of hunting.

Welcome aboard Froggy!  Great site with great people!  Enjoy but don't take anything personal we love to argue, lol.  50 years of experience I am sure you have some great stories, looking forward to reading them!
