Going with a wall pedestal mount.

Going to have this buck mounted showing his right shoulder, head straight up. This will be a first for that kind of mount. looking forward to the finished product!

I think I'll be doing a wall pedestal mount on mine also. It may clash with the "old school" flush mounts that are already in the room though.

What is the difference between a wall and a pedestal mount?  Does one show more shoulder?

 

I am having mine "shoulder" mounted on an oak plack, looking straight forward in "sneak" position.

 

Is my shoulder mount considered a wall or pedestal mount?

I think the pedestals generally show the shoulder from the side or angled where a wall mount looks the buck is coming out of your wall.

 

Trying to decide between revolution curious alert and McKenzie upright aggressive for my bow buck.  I like some turn to the neck as I think they look more natural, but that buck was looking for a fight and upright aggressive is how I remember him.

I'm using DJ Taxidermy in Bath. After I caught up with him he was bedded facing away from me at 15 yards. I shot him through the back and the bullet must of exited out and clipped his leg.

I like some turn as well, but it does depend on the memory and rack as well
