NYHuntFish
Saw this last night in NYC subway and then found the first Beaver forum I could find to post it. I thought it was interesting how much of America (as I understand it) was originally built on the trapping industry. Unrelated, I know, I just wanted to share with someone.
The_Real_TCIII
The beaver is arguably the most important critter in our nations history right? Edited January 26, 2016 by The_Real_TCIII
diplomat019
I read this really cool article once in national geographic about the beaver and it's role in New York City. Basically linked the beaver to all types of different aspects of Native American life and they kind of piece together what living on Manhattan was like for Native Americans precolonial times

The_Real_TCIII
There's a special on beavers on Nat Geo, I watched it with my girls when they were six or seven. It showed how at age two the beaver gets kicked out and has to find its own territory, my kids freaked out lol. I told them that's 18 in people years
