hunter49
A friend of mine wanted to buy his son a Henry rifle with a tubular magazine for X-mas . He went to a gun shop & was told because it held more than 10 rounds (14-15) they could not sell it to him. I believe it was 22 cal. & would the cal. matter? I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that only auto loaders had to hold less than 10 rounds, not lever actions with tubular mags. ?? Of course this is in NY state! Uptown Redneck
I thought I read that the magazine limit was found to be unconstitutional

diplomat019
As we all can see by this thread the safe act is a disaster.
Doc
As we all can see by this thread the safe act is a disaster. As it was intended to be. In fact most gun control laws are designed for maximum confusion to discourage firearms and accessories purchases. It is working exactly as intended as shown by this response by the sales clerk. ants
For the SAFE ACT nonsense to come into play the rifle has to be a semi auto, with a detachable magazine. Lever actions and bolt guns with tubular mags don't even come into play. For now.
