Lawdwaz
The wife and I took a ride to Rochester yesterday, we had something to return at LL Bean and I wanted to see that store. We were disappointed at what they had to offer but not surprised. We hiked the Eastview Mall and can see that is tired looking.............. Heading back west I jumped off the 90 and went up to the Field & Stream store. Not bad, not bad at all......I know, if you're a regular there it gets old but I was somewhat impressed. Probably since I'd never seen it before?? Traffic? Holy Mackerel you guys have it too! The best part about the "Eastview" area is the beautiful hills. All lightly dusted with a fresh snow, awesome!! Paula
I remember the first time i went to LL Bean, seems impressive when you pull up but its not. The traffic at Marketplace is crazy. I do like F&S but i will have others drive me out there. I hate traffic
Rebel Darling
The only LL Bean I find worthwhile is the Freeport, ME outlet. The hunting and fishing lodge is pretty impressive. It's the only store location I know at which they sell and repair firearms and bows. The selection of gear is also worth the walk-through. The store is open 24 hours a day, so you can avoid crowds. Nomad
Larry, as you know now that LL Bean is mostly clothes .I happen to like their jeans so that's why I go there every couple years. As you gazed south towards those hills, you were looking at where I hunt about 10 minutes away. FS is nice I enjoy going there one or twice a year . I find their selection of products to be hit and miss. They got a ton of different safes of all sizes, racks for inside, pouches for the doors, drying rods , all kinds of exsessorys . Went to buy our daughter a day pack, they had only a handful to choose from. Maybe it's seasonal . If you ever make it to the one in Freeport, while the wife is in line at Ben and Jerry's next door, take a stroll down a block or two, there used to be a nice knife store there. Oh and Manns Jewlers in Eastview has a descent selection of William and Henry knives, I know you like quality blades. Doc
I think it is some time in this coming year tat the new Bass-pro gets built down near Eastview. So then between Henrietta and Victor you will have your pick of outdoor stores. Field and Stream, Bass-Pro, Gander Mountain, Dicks ..... Did I leave any out? We're pretty well outfitted now. Traffic around Eastview is always ugly, but you were there a little too close to Christmas. Everybody is still in the "return mode", ditching all those ugly sweaters and argyle socks. Also there are still some Christmas sales still going on. It's starting to back off a bit now.
landtracdeerhunter
First time visit to L.L.Bean in Victor didn't impress me. I do, however like their warranty policy.
