Snowshoe Hunting?

I Have been wanting to get out there for some snowshoe hunting. Anyone have any recomendations as far as guides? Im willing to travel to Vermont or Maine or even up north NY. I dont have a dog but Ive gone few years ago to Tughill but no luck. Thank you.

Pine Grove Lodge in Bingham, Maine...

Excellent accomodations and great chow. You can take your own hounds or hunt with the pack of beagles that Bob Howe keeps at the lodge.

Went with Pete Richardson out in Vermont years ago with a few friends and got a boat load of snowshoe hare, was lots of fast paced action. Had a ton of fun. I need to do that again real soon.

I second Pygmy!!  have been up there twice and now that everyone in the group is done getting married or having kids hoping to get back up there.  Bob, Andrea and the family take awesome care of their guests.  Just one thing to remember up there if you get off the logging roads get low and be quick cause its thick up there!!  But would HIGHLY recommend Pine Grove Lodge!!

Thats good to hear, wish i would have known you were going i would have asked you to say hello for me to that ole mountain man. Petes a a nice guy and works hard for you. Post those pictures.

Nice pics..looks like perfect running/scenting conditions for the dogs. When we went it was ruff, had around 2ft. Of Snow and was using snowshoes to get around, we still managed to get alot of bunnies. Glad you guys had fun!!!

Most fun I had hunting snowshoes without a dog was at Happy Valley WMA. Four of us got 10 rabbits and 3 grouse. what made it fun was white rabbits and no snow.
