Ozark Trail Knives?

Been looking at the pocket foldres for a few months now in the sporting goods area Wallyworld. $4. Decided to pick up a few to keep in tackle box, pocket, w/e. Seem to be pretty well made for the money.

Personally if I want a cheap but well made knife that also has a rich history and respect of knife lovers the world over I'd go Opinel .

I picked up the OT's because of the price and if they break who cares. Gave one to the g/f for her tackle box, tossed one in my smaller tackle box, and one in my pocket.

My dad just brought me back a #7 inox (stainless) Opinel knife he got at the factory. When you first get it you don't think it's going to be as nice as it is. I can strop it back to razor sharp in a few minutes. If it stays this nice, it will be my favorite pocket knife to keep your pocket  (at around 1.5oz I think read) even though it's not a multi-tool.

Ozark is cheap for a reason. But not a bad knife to have if you don't care if it gets lost. I have an automatic kershaw and I think it was $25 and that thing is solid.

Some guys like to carve the handle of their Opinel . Seems like that would be like standing in a bucket and lifting yourself up by the handle .....

Every hunting season Walmart puts them on sale (locally anyway)  for one dollar and I pick up three or four every other year .... nothing wrong with disposable knives !

To each their own. I find some of the less expensive  knives just as good as the ones for big bucks. Every knife can be lost; most are disposable; except for some of the replacement blade brands like Havalon, Opinel, Outdoor Edge, and a few other companies getting into disposable blades. Quite a few of your higher end companies are handling less expensive knives in order to survive in the marketplace.  Buy what you like and enjoy! Oh,  I also use less expensive knives on many, many harvests and done just find LOL.
