Looking for a legal way

Looking for a legal way to get rid of a Raccoon . I have one that comes around tearing up the bird feeders and messing with the garden . Trapping Season is Oct 25 - Feb 15 .

All I see in the Regs Booklet is Trapping ... no hunting info . If there is something in the booklet ,other than trapping , I can't find it .

A licensed nuisance trapper can trap it for you.  My buddy has been doing a lot of coon and beaver trapping around here on nuisance jobs.

I think you can put out have a heart trap and animal will take it away

You can legally kill  it for causing damage but mist be buried immediately.

Have a heart trap is the way to go and once caught, relocate that sucker, preferably across a river from your location so you know he won't come back.

Agree but can't transport legally.  Not that I've ever thrown the box trap in my car and driven a few miles to wooded area before to release any raiding my garbage cans

Hunting information for coons I think should be grouped in with foxes...or at least on same page....

I( was wrong ! It runs from Oct 25 - Feb 15 . The date I posted above is for Long Island .

Coyote i believe is only animal that hunting and trapping to run together

Actually yote hunting season ends in early March but trapping ends before that. Good ole NYS likes to be confusing

relocating is a not allowed....pretty sure they will tell you to kill it.
