Sitting in Dulles for the next two hours and 45 minutes thanks to American delays.

I have a $12 voucher for food and beverage for the stupidity that is their logistics. What should I do? I have a corporate card so no need for the food.

Uh....I have no problem with flight time, done some of the longest routes.

Airport layover time has got to suck the worst.



See I'm opposite about 3 hrs in a plane I'm done want to get out and walk around for 30 min or so...after 1 hr tho layover start to suck..

Other bennifit to layovers is seeing all the different airports

Friend hates the short hop to Florida from downstate here....

Longest flight I have done was just over 16 hrs this past spring. Longest in transit was about 34hrs door to door with a 13 hr flight in there.

Makes them 3 or 4 hr ones like you barely got off the ground before you landed!

What third beer did you opt for ? 

Ugh , Atlanta airport. Last flight out one night. Cancelled as had engine problems. Gave me meal voucher , diddy overnight bag with disposable tooth brush , comb etc   Well restaurants all closed by now in AP. Shuttled me to hotel and said I could eat there.  Nope , closed for remodeling.  Ok , I'll take a walk to find something to eat. Nope , seedy part of town and diddy bag they supplied didn't happen to come with a Betetta 92 9mm and an extra mag. Slept in clothes. Ok , I'll eat at the AP in morning. Nope , first flight out and nothing open yet. Gosh I miss Atlanta :rolleyes:

Ok that's entertaining. I have to head to Columbus from ATL.

Unfortunately two is enough for me tonight - just the fat tire and the port city optimal. Wanted to try the dc ipa but the optimal is pretty light. It's a whitte but almost more of a shandy - very unique and light which is good for me right now. Never heard of it before.

I had a flight like that in laguardia...flight canceled to roch...gave us bunch of meal vouchers as there was 9 of us all together ended up staying in hotel in shady part of town doorman told us not to go out unless we were taxiing into the city...ordered in pizza and antipasto and garlic knots was fantastic woke up in am had to fly to Detroit to get on flight to roc...o and it was 4th of July I tried to get everyone to agree to just stay in NYC for extra day and watch 4th in city delta said put us on flight either day and comp hotel but parents were ready to go home. Detroit is another busy airport

I took a bump in Detroit once and they put me up at the attached Westin, that was sweeeeet. It has its own security entrance so the morning was a breeze too.
I fly a ton and have to say this summer has been great, not a single weather delay. Usually t storms wreak havoc. Just jinxed my trip to Minnesota Monday for sure

I'll tell yea few weeks back we were flying to greenville sc to get sister amd drive to moutri from there flight from roc flight got delayed were gonna miss connection flight in Philly southwest ended up getting us on a delta flight to Atlanta...I thought that was top notch customer service....the rental car place on the other hand sucked service sucked and they didn't even have records of us calling to change pickup location....needless to say after a call to hq they paid for our rental car for the weekend...that cost us 2 hrs standing in Atlanta trying to figure out where our car was

When the wife and I flew to Equador and then back home , every American Airline flight we were on was delayed and we had to stay in DC overnight as the flight from Miami was late arriving . We were told there was a early morning flight to Rochester so we stayed at the airport . Found out in the am that we were given bum info and the flight wasn't due until pm . I found the right person to bitch to and he got us a flight from DC to Charlotte , NC and then to Rochester . I wrote a letter to the CEO of AA and wew were given two $250 flight vouchers to be used within the next 12 months .
