Now many of the countries that we think of as "Muslim" tend to be poorer and immature governments. Thats what happens when the western powers play games like they did. You can deny that all day but history doesn't lie. Those countries we think of as "Muslim" are all in the same parts of the world yet they are only a few of the countries. As far as "wide spread" support of violence, I haven't seen that. Nor have my friends who have served in the army and have been deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Have there been calls for violence...yes I'm not saying that's untrue, but it's not as wide spread as you believe. Those calls are also coming from the same place in the world. I just wish we would stop meddling in the Middle East and let them have at each other...what goes on out there is none of my business.

On the contrary, that was from the koran you say you read; muhammad had sex with a nine year old. I could pull up some quotes about sex slaves and killing infidels if you'd like. You know those ones, though--they're the very ones that isis uses when it takes sex slaves and kills infidels. Makes it hard to say they are bastardizing islam when they base their actions straight from its so-called holy text.

Let me try something else--a morbid bet. It should be an easy way for you to make $20. When there is next a domestic terrorism event in the United States, if the person who does it says they did it because of their religion and they are a Mormon I will give you $20. If instead their motivation was Islamic in nature you give me $20. Considering Mormons outnumber Muslims 2X1 in the United States, you have great odds, right?

The real translation is sexually mature which back then was considered 17...i believe there are parts of the US where you only have to be 14 to marry. I think anyone can pull up some pretty nasty quotes from most religions and use it to their narrative. From my own readings I have found more calling for piece and love than anything else and that's way more then 2-1. I've said it a bunch of times, no point discussing this with someone who has not read it for themselves.

So is that a no on the bet? Maybe you are after all willing to admit Islam is disproportionately responsible for terrorism.

I will happily read the entire Koran if you can explain how my reading it will change the fact that despite being only 1% of the US population Muslim terrorists are nonetheless responsible for the huge majority of terror deaths in this country over the past several decades. Will my reading the Koran change that math?

Not a betting man and never will be. I don't consider extremists to be Muslim and any one spewing hate to be Muslim. Read the Qu'ran and you'll see where I came to that conclusion.

Hahaha where does it say they just wanted full control and not land? Where in the history of the world did an empires not want more land? I mean come on that's a stretch. I do know what a crusade is, but show me where it's a crusade and not the conquering of new land. Because then we can say that all empires participated in crusades...including the US. Also I never said I was an expert in anything on this forum, never thought it and never will. As a student you are humbled enough to know that we will always be learning.

Well fortunately for me I've taken the time to and payed the money for classes that go deeper into the Qu'ran and the empires. Helps me sort out the BS from the truth. If I didn't I'd be like some of the people on here. Education is power guys.

Most of the people found here are nothing but mindless right wing wackos we do nothing but repeat over and over the talking points issued by the equally mindless candidate they support for president, Little Hitler Trump, or those views presented by the unofficial official mouthpiece of the republican party, Fox News. Most of those here are unable to formulate their own thoughts.

I can't agree with you saying most of the people because I've found majority of the people on here to be good, honest and open minded. It's just a few that tend to use the same Arguments and even some of those people are honest people and generally open minded. But there definitely are a couple people on this forum that would align with some of what you said

There is more than a little irony in your post. e.g. "nothing but repeat over and over"...you keep referring to trump as little hitler here and elsewhere.
