Can someone explain to me what happens when the corn gets cut

I'm sure I won't get the exact answer because ever place is different.

So both places I hunt have corn fields really close to them this year.  Property "A" got cut yesterday, "B" is not cut yet.  Property "A" next to the one that got cut has tons of acorns on the ground and is in the woods so to speak and I've gotten pictures of deer and bear on 5 cams just about daily until the last couple days.  Property "B" is scrubby, maple, usually swampy except this year and surrounded by residential and a small farm.  Up until about a month ago on property "B" I had plenty of deer on cam at night and rarely but a little during the day.  Since then a wandering buck in the night on a rare occasion and I've seen a buck three night out of last week at dusk.

What do you think will happen to each property over the next few weeks?

I'd say . With increased activity they'll lay up in the standing corn and cover...coming out  at night to move and feed. Now if they spread manure you'll have a whole knew dynamic.

Deer on our property only lay up in the corn when it's gun season. Most of the time they run the rows about 20' in and follow them to where they want to go and use the corn as cover. Most of the deer I have bumped sit up on our hill side watching down the hill. In our swamp they like to bed against the big blow downs and head to the corn during the day.

So when they cut the corn do the deer hit the field hard for a few days to get what spilled or do they go looking for new food?  I ask this because the property where the field just got cut there were no deer even on cam at night at literally thousands of acorns on the ground.  So many acorns on the ground that if I posted a pic Biz would try to bust me for baiting.  lol  I thought the deer like acorns

Deer will feed in cut cornfields.   First few days are usually best.

It depends if it was chopped or shelled. If you see a lot of spillage in the field the animals will hit it hard until it is turned over. Great place to geese hunt also.

Depends if they spilled corn ,chopping or picking. And if the field is visable from a road where people spot it.

Depends if they spilled corn ,chopping or picking. And if the field is visable from a road where people spot it.

The manure will drive them back into the woods and green fields to feed . The biggest Chang will be movement...They loose all that area as far as movement goes. They will either go around or completely change bedding feeding patterns. Here they are still hitting the corn fields hard..a week after the cutting...my plot cams are dead...as I've posted..I have a lot of food but it isn't beating all the corn left on the ground,here and hundreds of surrounding acres of cut fields...I'm praying for the spreaders to arrive..
