Uptown Redneck
While the federal government remains beholden to the NRA, citizens of three states passed initiatives toughening gun laws http://bearingarms.com/jenn-j/2016/11/09/how-california-washington-maine-and-nevada-voted-on-gun-control/
DirtTime
How's that crossbow working out for you this year? Giving that surgically repaired shoulder a rest? Been out with that crossbow yet this year?

DirtTime
OK. Let me ask this. Have you ever owned a crossbow?

I do and me and my daughter enjoy shooting it. And before you ask, due to family obligations I will not be hunting the two weekends of crossbow hunting.
Core
I was going to buy a crossbow this year but since I can't get any damn deer even in view I'm very glad now I skipped it this time out. Still want the centerpoint 370, though.
Rattler
Ballot initiatives are tyranny by the masses. Just as many in the past have been overturned as unconstitutional, so will these.

For the western Lib state it was about the same percentage as they voted for the Presidential candidates. Now there is a surprise. WOW now isn't that funny, when the "voters" agree with you then you claim "the voters have voiced their views and democracy has won" however when those same "voters" disagree with you then they are "tyrants". Boy you really are a hypocrite Edited November 10, 2016 by Uptown Redneck

chas0218
What is shocking all of those laws are already in effect in NY other than the California ammo background check and the Washington one. Which in NY is not required but is "suggested practice" by the state. I don't think any store I have bought ammo has checked my background. One time at field and stream they entered my date of birth from my ID, either that or it was my Driver license number. Either way I didn't like it and haven't bought ammo from them since. Boy you really are a hypocrite Voting for Trump was not against the Constitution. Limiting our 2nd Amendment right is.... Going against the Constitution without changing it = tyranny Doesn't matter what the voters want if it is unconstitutional, unless you forgot we are a Republic.
Uptown Redneck
They won't check your background here in NY because they have abandoned that part of the SAFE Act. As for entering your info from your drivers license I have had that happen to me every time I buy ammo, and this has been at various stores, I think it is their/their computer systems way of confirming that you are of legal age. I see this occurring all the time at the convenience store when people are buying beer, cigarettes and lottery tickets

I don't have any friends that think the way you do and I am truly curious.

No hypocrisy at all. But your bias will always think there is.
