Oh, there will be plenty of people who will get surprised.  Talk about someone who has been a waffler on just about every topic, it's been Trump.  Even the gun issue is far from a sure bet with him.  I've long predicted that it would be a republican president who would sign the first significant gun control measures in this country.  The republican majority senate and congress of course didn't want to pass any new laws with a democratic president in office just for the sake of not going along with him.  Now that a republican is in there the game will change.  Lets just have another couple of high profile massacres with firearms and you'll see what will happen.  If you think republicans politicians aren't afraid to get shot by some loon with an AR I've got some news for you.  Trump is exactly the type of guy who would help make it happen since he says one thing today and will say something else next month.  Buckle up boys, you may regret what you wished for.

Far better we should have voted for the gal that comes right out and brags about how she hates guns and wants to screw over every law-abiding gun owner she can. Buckle up boys, we just saved another set of your rights ...... in spite of you.

Maybe on the federal level but you continue to lose ground on the state level where 3 more states just voted to enact tougher gun laws.

And let's not forget NY, where we all live, still has some of the strictest gun laws in the country, so how's that "saving your rights" thing working for you here in NY?

Wait until there are two Supreme Court Justices seated in Trump's first term.  Let's see if they will hear the challenges to those "state" laws.

Considering the newly elected clown president has ZERO sense I wouldn't be expecting much

Zero? Not even a little? This election has affected you negatively but I am pretty sure a guy who has his name on the side of a massive jet plane must either be extremely, shockingly lucky, or maybe--just maybe!--he is actually fairly smart.

This guy admits the 2nd Amendment is a RIGHT, yet sides with the people and party that is taking them away.  Good thing he only pushes his bravado on the internet where he can't get hurt.

Did you guys think I literally meant promoting a civil war?  For crying out loud.  Grow up.  It's a metaphor for a call to action.  Are you guys illiterate or just grasping at straws to argue non-sense?

You said that field and stream was "calling for their readers to take up arms and start a war".

And i didnt see anything in the article that was calling for action either.

What part of the article gave that impression?   Maybe i missed it.
