I didnt watch it (currently have a helluva cold)  but from what I'm hearing it was a well received speech !

Almost all of the Democrats remained seated which is what I believe the Republicans did when King Barack gave a speech . However , on occasion , a Democrat would stand up and applaud and get looks from the other Democrats .

Saw Up-Chuck Schumer a couple times on camera . I think he was glued to his seat . 

Now , if only the two parties can / will work together !

Yes, Trump's speech was a pretty good one, but getting legislation passed is the big question....can he get support from both sides of the aisle? Given the reaction by Socialist dems., I don't think so.

Excellent speech!

Trump will never get support from the Democrats because they hate HIM as a person. He could adopt every idea put forth by Obama and they still wouldn't support him. It's personal, petulant, and petty that way.

Basically a home run! One thing that people lose sight of is that this guy has not come from a life of politics. And so may not have all the polish. But he is a quick-study apparently and is moving into this presidential stuff amazingly quickly. It sure did leave the Democrats nearly speechless as they tried to unsuccessfully respond. Every day I get more and more impressed with the growing skills that he is developing that already surpass most career politicians.

Regarding support from the dems, remember legislation does not require unanimity. I did notice some of the Democrats that were bucking the party line there and were standing and applauding many of the things that Trump was saying.

I have no doubt some Dems will hitch their wagon to the Trump train once the popularity of his actions take firm hold. Most however are mired in toxic identity politics, which is great.It means their party is finished for a while.

Watching the leftist media reaction/spin yesterday and today has been truly educational. It's helped me a great deal in my attempt to sort out the 'reasonable Democrat supporters' from the absolute 'goats'. I dislike Van Jones and Chris Wallace and their overall positions on most everything, but even they acknowledged the fact that the speech was a home run. And they both did so with a great deal of respect and even, dare I say, praise in their words. The message is getting through!

Ann Coulter made an excellent point on Hannity last night about the Dem's immediate reaction to Trump's VOICE (Victims Of Immigration Crime Engagement) plan announcement. The groans, hisses, booing and general negativity were instantaneous and Pavlovian even before the words and intentions were considered. Think about it.

Democratic identity politics puts everyone in front of Americans, even Mexican gang members. Anything that gets in the way of 'diversification' (de-Americanization) is anathema to these people.

It's manifested in the reactions of their supporters when confronted with someone wearing a MAGA hat. Grab the hat off the guy's head and burn it. Then beat the guy who was wearing it. No discussion, no civil discourse, simply attack the thing that you disagree with. I hope the young ones outgrow it, but in the case of Pelosi, Schumer, et al, I don't I don't see that happening.
