t_barb
My daughter is graduating from Daemen College on May 20th. the ceremony is at Kleinhans Music Hall (Downtown) . We want to go to dinner after the graduation.. It ends around 8:30pm, so would like to try to find somewhere near by. Looking for nice, but not "fancy". Also looking for someplace that won't break the bank, any ideas would be greatly appreciate. Thx!
turkeyfeathers
For how many people ? First thing wife and I both thought of is Left Bank It's very close too. Never had a bad meal, it's very nice but yet not overly fancy

Lawdwaz
Congratulations! Are you specifically looking for something NEAR Kleinhans or are you heading in another direction after the services? If you're heading back to Amherst I can give you multiple good choices: Creekview, Milo's, Eagle House, Glen Park Tavern, Bing's......... North Tonawanda? Webster's or Remington Tavern....... In the City? Pano's........ Then there is something like Griffon Pub locations....... http://www.thegriffonpub.com/
t_barb
We will be heading back towards Amherst and then back to Rochester area.. Her boyfriends parents are from Hamburg, so something in Amherst would probably be OK
turkeyfeathers
Can't go wrong with Lawdwaz's suggestion of Griffongastropub. We just ate at the East Aurora location last week. The thruway is pretty close access too to Clarence location. Great 100 beers on tap and huge variety of a menu. If you go there do you have room for one more ?

I'd GUESS $60 a head would cover things easily??? http://salvatoresgrand.com/russells-steakhouse/ It's on Transit Rd In Amherst, right by the Thruway exit/entrance for ease of departure. On Main St in Snyder.........right by the school: http://siena-restaurant.com/ Worst comes to worst....... http://www.ziggystacos.com/menu/ One more I haven't been to though, on Main St. in Williamsville is Giangreco's. Supposed to be wonderful from what I gather..... http://www.giancarlossteakhouse.com/

DIYhunter
I'll second left bank. Very close to kleinhans. Food is great and reasonably priced. It's on the small size though so I would recommend reservations well in advance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Don_C
Buffalo- Hutch's or Tempo, He's a friend of mine so I am a bit biased, but hands down the best food in the city. Request Josh as your server you won't be disappointed. For great comfort food and a good beer selection try Nye Park Tavern, the bison burger and meatloaf is amazing, ask for Luke and request a Half Baked Bomber sandwich for a one of a kind Hutch creation. NT- Remington, also owned by Hutch. Hamburg- Lucia's on the water is great, Dock is open now, food is OK but the view is awesome.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
mlammerhirt
Hamburg- Lucia's on the water is greatForgot to mention Lucia's.....You did say the boyfriend's parents were from Hamburg so that may be a great option. I haven't personally eaten there yet but it is on to do list now that our little guys are a bit older and we can probably seek out for a night.
