BizCT
Saw nothing rest of afternoon. Watching Chiefs game, sleeping in then hunting Westchester 3S for afternoon
BizCT
10/3: Hunted the 3S (Westchester) spot from 3pm - dark. Seen a lone doe feeding on acorns at 545pm. Then just before 630pm seen 2 deer about 75 yards away but couldn’t tell what they were so I tried a soft grunt and they came within 35yds but were both does only. Oh well. Back to work tomorrow. BizCT
10/7: 80+ degrees today. Didn’t hunt, but got all my yardwork done. Shot the bow 6 times, still dead on. Pic of the first shot in strong wind at 25yds, grip and rip. Might try tomorrow afternoon in hopes a buck is moving before heavy rain Monday.
BizCT
10/8: hunting 230pm - dark in acorn flat blind. cam has only does a few days (most recent thurs.). Only buck is the 5pt. He came in Monday night a few hours after I left. In front of the cam I kicked up leaves under a branch like a mock scrape to see if anything would check it out. Sure enough a few hours the 5pt came and checked it out.
BizCT
10/8 cont.: Watched 1 doe and 2 fawns between 20yds and 55yds for an hour from 520-620pm. No bucks showed up. The 3 deer were eating acorns and walking around the whole time but never in front of trail camera actually. I tried grunting several times while doe/fawns were in front of me hoping a buck would come. They kept looking but never spooked.

BizCT
10/14: hunted he morning until 930am in 3S spot. No deer seen. 57 and rainy. Checked cams and not much on them. a bunch of raccoons many nights eating acorns? Some does, 1 buck running ( probably 4pt), and the other cam had a buck (also probably 4pt), turkey and coyotes (for first time ). The last coyote pic was about 5 hours before I got into woods this morning, so could be why I didn’t see any deer. Oh well. Not much on cams here still, but I’ve seen deer everytime here except today. Hopefully during the rut a nice one comes through. tomorrow either no hunting or back 3N for afternoon only trying to get lucky and see one of the shooters I’m after. BizCT
10/15: Hunted 3pm - dark in 3N. No deer seen. Cams slow for past week except for spikes and does. One antler (bottom left) but subsequent pics of burst had nothing so buck must have walked under cam. Very warm today (70+), but tomorrow looks to a low of 35 so things should start to change hopefully but I’ll be working. No pics of the shooter bucks since end of September. Last pic is a mock scrape I cleared and pissed in. A doe checked it out but no buck
BizCT
Was thinking on the train ride into work and kind of kicking myself. Thinking back now, I'm really thinking I should have tried sitting somewhere watching a fresh rub line that I noticed in early October. At least 6 rubs within 30 yds of each between 2 main trails. I kept sitting in the acorn flat blind because of the pics from end of September of 2 shooters, but clearly all of those rubs means at least 1 buck walks that line frequently. I should have sat 20-30yds off that line and hope to catch one walking by. Oh well.

BizCT
10/27- Hunted morning till 10:15am in 3S spot, since I wanted to save 3N spot for afternoon only. Seen a yote at 715am 40yds away trotting even farther away so couldn’t get shot. Tried bleat call to get it to come back, but no luck. Then just after 8am saw 3 does (or 1 doe and 2 fawns) around 90yds away. No bucks seen but 2 fresh scrapes less than 20yds from my spot and a buck came thru this morning a few hours before me. Cam also had a fox, turkeys, and the same or different buck, as well as does and coons.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
BizCT
10/27 cont.In 3N now. 3N: 60 degrees. 250pm. Took my time 1hr and 20min to make 1/2 mile walk in hopes of catching one bedded. At 150, a doe stood up at 20yds too bad it wasn’t a buck. Checked cams and in ground Blind now till dark watching acorn flat. Got a middday pic on 10/17 of the big 7 or 8pt. Cams didn’t have much else other than the 5pt and a spike a spike checking my piss in a mock scrape.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
BizCT
Sat till dark and saw 1 buck (actually a 3pt instead of spike). He was under 20yds for 10 full minutes and was sniffing my pee in the mock scrape. took a bunch of video. He was under 7yds for a while and would jump scared every once in a while. He just walked off slowly. No bigger bucks came thru unfortunately. Idk how to upload video so this is a snapshot.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DirtTime
Guess that "Magic Mathews" isn't so magical after all. Trade up to an Elite or BowTech next year and you will tag out on 10/1. Just kidding. I honestly thought you would have a dead buck by now Biz. You'll arrow one soon.

Could have shot does and small bucks, but I’m fine risking tag soup waiting for something a little bigger.
