I have another suet feeder next to a post so she can hang onto the the post and feed easier . When I am outside I can hear her before she comes in so I get out of sight so I don't scare her . Havn't seen the male yet this year .

We use to get those ,pine and evening grosbeak...but not so much any more and they were seasonal ,didn't stay long. We are getting a bunch of different ones I do not know and many more orioles, cardinals, yellow finch...lost the red winged black birds when the hay field went to corn...lost a bunch of hawks as well as swallows. I miss them.

I do not miss the woodpecker that would come by nearly every summer on and off throughout.. pecking the hell out of the chimney pipe on the house at 6am. It was every morning for the longest time. Other than that they are neat to watch.

The Mrs. puts a flower basket on top for the summer. But the way he's going at it, there won't be much left when he's done!

Wish wooly was here. He would have gotten much better pictures!
