Lawdwaz
Seems like there have been quite a few fawn sightings here this spring. Just yesterday my buddy had one on his lawn (the grass was maybe 7" tall) and noticed it while mowing. He lives in a residential area of Cheektowaga.......... More than usual, what say you? grampy
Couple mornings ago, on the way to work, had to stop as a doe and two little ones crossed. Also been a doe with a fawn in the cow pasture next to the house, the last week or so too.

Lawdwaz
They just had a thing on the news about the Lewiston NY police transporting a fawn in a patrol car ........... IDK, maybe it's just that every swinging dick has a camera/phone these days??

grampy
Here in 4-H, the somewhat mild winters of the last two years has been a boon for the local deer population. Preceding that, we had two or three really bad winters, that saw a lot of winter killed deer. I guess it's just natures balancing act, that has the population on an up swing right now. That and like Lawdwaz said, everyone has a camera these days! Even those without the SD!.......lol
Critter4321
My Daughter works animal control in 3M said she gets no less then 8 calls a week from people telling her there are fawns just left by their mothers!! she tries to explain what going on but its a loosing battle. Someone Brought one in yesterday they found next to a ditch on the side of the road the guy told her people were taking pics of it and he felt bad so he picked it up and brought it to her shelter then wanted to take pics of it for his kids when she asked him to return it to the place he picked it up from his reply was no he was on his way to a appointment. whats that old saying take nothing more then pictures and leave nothing more then foot prints!!
