  4. Good luck with the disabled Permit I have had both shoulders rebuilt the left one twice! and still they refuse to let me use a cross bow even though I have hunted with my compound for over 30 years and now I no longer have the option the law said you have to be ambulated for a permit

  6. well if they used just one ounce of customer service while they where open in middletown I would feel upset! but once i stood their for over a hour just to look at a fire arm and still not one sales person could/would see what i wanted I left drove around to dicks sporting goods looked at and bought the fire arm in 25 Mins I can only speak from my experiences but unless there going to give customers the needed and wanted service then don't waste the paint on the place
  7. If its any relief I know of a couple of wells going dry in orange county too probably related to the nit wit you know !
  8. I know how your feeling have had both rotator cuffs redone so shooting a bow is not a option at this time crossbow is OK but not as much of a challenge good luck healing and a field when you get there

  12. I try my best to let the little ones go I look at the head and ears short head or ears and they walk. I have always said I'll never tell another hunter what to shoot, like i tell my kids its still all the same cuts and time wise just half to1/3 of the meat. and then they drive me beyond nuts when they throw away the front shoulders they say oh theirs no meat there well then why the h$#l did you shoot it in the first place
  13. By chance you still have this rifle for sale have a friend looking for a 243 let me know thanks Dave
  14. been watching the woolly bear caterpillars I can say from my farmer experience be it worth a grain of salt are not, But we farmers go by the amount of orange in the little buggers show and just let me say this I have yet to see any Black on them counted 17 yesterday coming off a load of hay only one had a little black on him seems theirs always a hold out lol. the barn swallows have left orange county the fruit and apple trees are so loaded they are almost touching the ground the hornets have made there hives way up and the squirrels are hiding there nuts and seeds way up in the trees. all signs points to a snowy cold winter hopefully my senses are wrong but 8 out of 10 I have been right guess we will know in the spring!!
  15. I ride my quad right up to my stand park under it, as I have COPD both Knees replaced and a crushed ankle rebuilt so every time I go hunting I make sure I enjoy it to the fullest. I have shot many deer while doing this But this is also all open farm land and they see and hear quads almost on a daily bases. might not work as well on the mountains though understanding those deer have very little human contact and any noise sends them deeper into cover
  16. I carry my 22-250 around the farms you just never know when one might pop up in the field and give you the shot I have taking 36 out of one 14 acre field in a year sure makes mowing and baling a lot nicer without bouncing around chuck holes

    Why a bow?

I used to love to bow hunt I got into it as a chance to see deer closer and have more time to hunt. I used to get out every chance I had the time spent alone just trying to win over a wild animal was time ill never forget,
  18. My Daughter works animal control in 3M said she gets no less then 8 calls a week from people telling her there are fawns just left by their mothers!! she tries to explain what going on but its a loosing battle. Someone Brought one in yesterday they found next to a ditch on the side of the road the guy told her people were taking pics of it and he felt bad so he picked it up and brought it to her shelter then wanted to take pics of it for his kids when she asked him to return it to the place he picked it up from his reply was no he was on his way to a appointment. whats that old saying take nothing more then pictures and leave nothing more then foot prints!!
  19. Goose don't even make good coyote bait Yuck tried it once never again
  20. Just goes to show the everyone gets a participation trophy is still alive and well in NYS, when you have to help the lazy hunters get trophy's by passing up deer. If they want to pay the $$ for my hunting license I will be happy not to fill a buck tag until then its my money being spent to pursue a animal of my choice! Not the hunters who think the game needs to be changed so they can win!!!
