2012_taco
I just ordered a Primos up and down ground blind. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Primos-reg-Up-N-Down-Telescopic-Blind/1584200.uts Does any one use one or a similar blind? I bought it for spring turkey hunting, thought it would be great for a quick set up. But I'm thinking of trying it during deer season to set up in areas where I don't have a tree stand and wanted to just sit out an evening. I have one of those hammock type seats to use with it so it should be a very comfortable sit, my only concern is will the blind be high enough when not sitting directly on the ground. I'll post when I get a chance to set it up and try to shoot my bow from that position. Edited June 19, 2017 by 2012_taco
Paula
I used burlap years ago. There was a mound of rocks that i made the pile more like a crater, i sat in the crater and used old tent poles to hold up the burlap that i stacked around me. Yours looks better than what i had Edited June 19, 2017 by Paula

turkeyfeathers
Have one and love it. Also have another similar style that the sticks break apart with a bungee cord in the middle so it folds down smaller. Prefer extending stick model much better. Have had model your looking at for many , many years. A few stitches here and there over it's hard usage. Brother also has one and has had it for even longer. He had a coon chase another coon right thru his this year and tore it up pretty good. Scared the crud out of him. I just roll it up tight and throw in back of vest. Sets up in seconds. Makes getting the gun up easier if caught off guard on a silent bird. Have killed many a birds from behind mine. You'll like it. It extends up or down to desired height very easily. 2012_taco
TF, I looked at several different brands before I choose the Primos. A friend has one made by Allen and it has 1 piece poles and rolls up into a shoulder bag, about 3" x 30". But it looks like they have changed there product to 2 pc poles. Most of the ones I found have 2 pc shock corded poles, I didn't want to have to deal with the opening and closing of the poles each time I put it up and took it down. That's why I went with the Primos it has adjustable poles.
growalot
I have had the round spring loaded one for years..works well andfolds up into a small round pouch, though does needtrees or brush arouns as tie up supports. Your ground stakes would work much better in grassy area.
fasteddie
I made one that I had used for a few years . I bought some camo burlap and a few of the black plastic fencepost stakes that have the pointed metal end . It worked okay and probably cost me about $20 in materials .
