First-light
I just read the article in outdoor news. This is amazing, 7 years without a contract, no raises. They have down sized and not replaced retiring officers. 292 ECO statewide, more to retire. Well I guess game violations will go up with less man power. it's a sorry state out there, these people at times have to put their lives on the line. WNYBuckHunter
Yeah its a shame that those guys, that do a truly meaningful job have to take cuts like that in order for the state to hand out welfare checks and free medical care to lazy people and illegal immigrants. Doewhacker
Its the same in other industries too, shame really but it serve's as a reminder of how fortunate I am to have a job and get raises.
damore81
Ironically they do not get a pay increase and their forces have been reduced however our hunting fees keep going up every year!!
Mr VJP
True, but total number of licenses sold is going down every year. Take a kid hunting and fishing and recruit people who show an interest in the outdoors. We need to keep the numbers up or it will be easier for the anti's to knock the rest of us down.
