Pfluger president 30,35, or 40?

I've got the option of getting a good deal on one of those options. I want to match it with my med action st. Croix to use as my bass rod. I'm mostly seeing people say to get the 30, but I kind of want the extra line capacity of the 35. I'm pretty sure the 40 is overkill though. Thoughts?

depends on what size line your looking to use.  But I agree with Grampy on the 35.  If your bass fishing shouldnt have to worry about line capacity too much , they wont take a bunch of drag so shouldnt make a difference.  Would be guessing your using 8/10/12 lb for largemouth?  If your gonna fish open water smallies could go with 6 or 8 lb and either of those reels would work.  Id go with the 35, prob a little more beef to it for yankin em out of the weeds too!
