Gander Outdoors

Just found out in the local newspaper Gander outdoors, will open this summer where the old gander mountain used to be. This is in Plattsburgh ny. Anyone else hear anything about this happening with other gander mountains. Will they still have the same sporting gear and everything or what?

I was in the Cicero NY store last week. Shoes are much more self serve, nowhere near the selection. camping/ fishing/ boating selection looked about the same, hunting gear about the same. Firearms were pretty mainstream to todays market, lots of duplicity. Obviously the store was still being stocked with a lot of stuff missing. It looked like a lot of emphasis on bicycles, water sports. Prices appeared comparable. I really didn't buy much at the old Gander unless it was on clearance, or basic fishing stuff, I doubt I will do any more there now.

Yes gander outdoors will be opening soon in Kingston NY also

My friend sent me this pic of of flag Gander Outdoors had flying outside their Tonawanda store. It was the opening day and said there was a lot of people there. Nice size flag.

That's a 30x60' flag and hot off the thruway to get a pic of it this afternoon. Looks really nice

Def agree with this.  Went to that store.  Looked around a while and didnt buy a thing.  It's ok.    But always good to have another outdoor store.
