I see how you stumbled upon this as she’s an RIT student. Good ending and great dog. Also oddly enough we walked upon on the matanuska glacier guessing the river is nearby.  Pretty sure my niece lived in Chugach when we visited. (2009)

Of course the oldest is hiking out West right now and posting pics to close to edges .

What a story! What are the odds that that dog would show up precisely when and where needed? That would make a hell of a movie.

Her FB post tells , how she changed out of her wet clothes into dry ones , then got in her sleeping bag to warm up. The dog stayed at her side licking her face, once she realized she should call for help and activated her personal locator beacon, he stopped  and layed down.
