Oh I could win with moldy jerky made by me. Though I will say idk how long it would take as I had eaten jerky I made 2-4 years prior to consumption and it was still excellent

I would guess if your jerky is sitting around uneaten for 2 years it can't be too good!! I make 5 pounds at a time and it is lucky to last the week!!

That was only because it was a bag I forgot about in my bowling bag. Whenever I make it I make 20 lbs at a time finished product and it's gone before days end

No that was merely an outlier and then I found it and decided to give it a try and it was still delicious. Though I wouldn't recommend anyone wait that long to try theirs.
