Is Simizine Legal to use in NY?

Does anyone know if this can be used?  Is there a special application license required ?

I use it at my job actually each year in Orange County, NY.

I am basically certified to spray under my boss who is a licensed applicator, I am not sure if anyone can apply it.

If you can buy it, you should be ok to apply it on your own land. If it's not your land, you need to be certified.   

I used to be certified yrs ago, but the regs were such a pita, I gave it up.  

Can't remember if leased land is considered " yours" or not.

Atrazine (same as Simazine only different) is a R.U.P. Knowing the logic (or lack thereof) of NYS legislators, I would not be surprised if they would not allow Simazine to be used.

You can also buy salt licks, deer food and deer bait in NY but it cannot be used in NY.

Legally, you go to your local big box store, and by a bag of Scott's weed-n-feed and apply it to your lawn. You cannot, however, buy same bag and apply it on your neighbors lawn, unless you have a NYS applicators license, or are working directly under someone holding one.
