landtracdeerhunter
Buy the new gun and keep the 870. They are a super, fun, trouble free gun. Nothing wrong with having 2 shotguns. Besides, when you want a change in pace, you'll want to switch back to the 870.
WNYBuckHunter
Nope, 870 is gonna go. I already have a few other shotguns and I would rather use the money from the 870 toward the new one. I will never feel the need to abuse my shoulder like that again lol.
Karpteach
Keep the Charles Daley and buy a savage 220 or 212 they are great shooting shotguns.
WNYBuckHunter
Im not really planning on getting rid of the Daly right now. I dont want a bolt action shotgun for a deer gun, my 870 is super accurate already, I just dont want the recoil, plus a bolt action isnt going to get it done on the skeet, trap or clays range. WNYBuckHunter
Oh, and I have no interest in a 20 ga. Been there, done that.
jhog1
Left handed models are basically just guns where the ejection is out the opposite side of the receiver so the guy isnt having empty shells fly across their face. The stocks on better guns are also cast on (right handed) or cast off (left handed) so your looking straight down the barrel The 3 1/2 model does not have a slug barrel option The 3" slug barrel will fit a 3 1/2" gun but you will only be able to shoot 3" slugs I have done it with my Win. also made by FN as is the Browning. Have you gotten a price on that slug barrel yet ? if not make sure your sitting down Edited December 13, 2011 by jhog1
WNYBuckHunter
Yep, $500 for the slug barrel. The 3 inch gun will also save me $200 on the gun.

WNYBuckHunter
Who said they would? For me its about getting a gun that I enjoy shooting, and I dont enjoy shooting my 870.
Doewhacker
More expensive guns don't getya more deer. No but they sure do look purty.
Pygmy
No but they sure do look purty. Asthetics are important to some people. Some people like nice vehicles. As per MOI, I'm not much interested in cars as long as they get me where I want to go. I DO like attractive, quality firearms...Life is too short to hunt with an ugly gun. Many people however, could care less about what thier firearm looks like, as long as it gets the job done. Nothing wrong with that. Different strokes for different folks.
