mowin
Finally had time to go get the old girl. She runs strong for a 70 yr old tractor. Might try and find a period correct seat for it. I'll take off all the broken lights and wiring, give her a general cleaning. Swap out the brush hogs, and hopefully she'll find a great home. grampy
I just really like those old tractors. This one will likely give you many, many years of service. Post up more pics when you finish doing the upgrades. Have fun. It truly is a labor of love.
wolc123
You will love that Bush-hog. I had one on my Ford 8n and it worked great, cutting grass and clover nearly as neat as a finish mower. I did have to beef it up a bit with metal and weld when I used it on a larger tractor. For tractors up to 30 PTO hp, it will work fine just like it is.

I'll swap out the Ford 910 mower and put this one on my JD. I'll sell the Fergie and the Ford as a set.

Or at least keep them available for a buyer. There are collectors and restorers who would see value in that old stuff, no matter the condition. If original. Looks like a nice antique with good potential. Nice find!

Haven't checked to see if they work. The fender lights don't match and both are busted up pretty good.

I had a 1949 8N and I replaced the back lights (they were missing) with a replica set, and they are different. One is a tail light and one is a rear facing work light. I think yours are original. That bracket under it is for an accessory toolbox I think. Edited September 3, 2020 by Steuben Jerry
