wooly
Decided to take the road to my hiking grounds today. I'm always checking out all the crap folks throw out there windows that ends up along side the road. This time of year it's a real mess. The amount of empty cans is unbelievable. Anyhow, I see a car coming around the bend ahead and notice they tossed some trash on the shoulder a couple hundred yds ahead. I got up there and saw the empty McDonalds bag and some other junk. Then right beside all that was a rolled up lottery ticket. I had to pick it up out of curiosity. All the winning #'s were scratched off and all the players #'s were scratched off....fudge! A quick glance revealed a 29 in the top row and a 29 a few rows down. Alls I had to do was scratch off my prize!!! $40  It doesn't pay to be a litterbug! Lawdwaz
Cool find! Yesterday I was riding down a side road and saw a cell phone lying in the gutter of the road. I backed up and had my wife grab it. Called the first name under "dialed" calls and got no answer from "mom". Tried the next one, "Kyle" and he answered. I said "hi, I just found this phone on the side of the road, do you recognize the number?" he said yea, it's my girlfriends" I said "do you know where she is?" He says "standing right next to me"! Well, within 60 seconds the phone that they didn't even know was gone was back in there hands! I've found and returned at least 6 cell phones and 3 wallets in the past 20 years. Fun tracking the folks down. All three wallet owners didn't even know they were gone. Found them in the following areas: Rt 20 (Broadway) just about 5 miles west of Texaco Town, Genesee st in Lancaster in front of Adams Nursery and Rt 20 (again!!) this time just east of Tom Wahls rest. in Avon. waterweasle
a few years ago I was at my parent house for some family function, phone rings and theres a guy calling from California saying he found this wallet, and if we knew how to get in touch with the owner..... now the owner was my nephew who was stationed at camp pendleton in the marines, and lost his wallet, so this guy calls NY, gets my nephews grandparents number and mnages to track himn down...............pretty funny.......best thing was that the guy and his wife bought my nephew and his buddies dinner when they showed up to collect his wallet a few hours later
wdswtr
Good to hear about your guys returning found items and getting stuff back. I have been know to pick up a cigarette butt or 2 and some other misc. garbage I witness people throwing out there car windows. I get some pretty weird looks when they roll their windows down and I say sorry to bother you but I think you dropped this. LOL my daughter doesnt find it as funny as me though. Amazing why people cant hold a empty McDonalds bag till they get to a garbage can. Drives me nuts. I was riding with a friend and his son once awhile ago and at one point he threw out a fast food bag out the window. His dad says to him where is the wrappers? Kid says I threw them out the window why? Dad pulls over and say find twice as many wrappers on the side road and dont come back till you do. Minutes late he comes strolling back with a buch of garbage. Bet he never did that again. LOL
erussell
I once found a trash bag full of frozen venison and rainbow trout on the side of the road. Looks like they emptied all the previous season out of thier freezer to make room for the next yrs mound of wasted animals. Talk about a waste. Doewhacker
Wolly its only right that you return my lost lotto scratch off, I was so excited about winning that it slipped from my grasp while I was throwing my hands in the air cheering. You can mail the money if you like, I'll pm you my address. Thanks for finding it for me. The rest of the garbage is not mine and you can keep that.

ants
Good find! One time I was out front cutting my grass and some punk threw his McD's bag out the window as he drove by. RIGHT INFRONT OF ME! FREAK'N PUNK. I yelled but he kept going. Any way I picked up the bag and I heard change rattling around in the bag. I opened it up and there was $11 and change in the bottom of the bag. I guess he just threw the change from his order into the bag and forgot about it. Freak'n punk..
