Canned venison

Anyone do this? Or try it? is it good? I have a mutual friend that always tries to give me some, but i shy away from it.

think that has been talked about before, think everyone liked it that did try it. Make it tender and melty in your mouth. lol think you have to watch the seasoning because it make more intense i think someone had said. Try it, you'll like it tuggy

LOL..yes it's cooked. Thats funny. I dunno why it looks like that.When you take it out it dont look like that red. Maybe just the way the camera took? All I add is water and a half teaspoon of salt.

When I lived in New York I canned a lot of Venison, It needs to be done in a Preasure Cooker.I added Onion, Garlic, Salt & Pepper. I liked it heated up with sliced potatoes, or heated up & make gravy, and pour over Potatoes, Carrots, Peas & Green Beans. It gets really tender being canned.

I had it once as a kid and it was great. Tender and real tasty. I have been meaning to try to can some for years but have never tried.

My father cans venison about every other year. He raves over it as stew I prefer to make a venison stroganoff with it. Haven't found a way I didn't like it yet.
