Brought it out today and it was pretty sweet. Just used the iron sights and at 50yrds it was pretty good. No jams no nothing. 80 rounds. I'll put better sights on it (aim point....scope) dont know yet.

I've eyeballed the Saiga .223 over at Herb Philipsons a few times, seems like a pretty sweet rifle. Have fun with it.

did you notice that Hi- Point .45 cal carbine?? That was pretty sweet too!!! Think'n about it....

Did'nt Marlin make a nice little rifle in 9mm and 45acp.I remember back in the early 90's.

Yes they did and those camp carbines get a nice buck these days. I found one in 45 for my brother a while ago for $450 in great shape and it seems like a bargain in todays market. I think Ruger made a 9mm and a 40, I think basicaly as police long guns but they were available to the public. The Marlin in 45 takes a Colt mag and I believe the Ruger could be ordered in either Glock clip or another possibly S&W in 40. Not sure about the 9mm version as I was only interested in the 40.

I did see that,you would have to reload your own shells to shoot that thing.

Yeah... those Marlins are hard to find now..They only made them for a few years (2 or 3) and at the time they were cheap...They were developed as a Police carbine but never caught on....If you can find one at a good price grab it..
