I love it when you hear that and call that “hunter” every name in the book under your breath only to see a crotchety old hen pop out.

Dont always think it's a hunter, had a owl hooter set.off a gobbler I was sitting under, he gobbled everytime and the guy kept.closing 100 yards and hooting, got to 200 yards and then closed to 50 yards and hooted , so I yelled to protect myself" hey get out of here!!"  Quiet for 10 min then 50 yards off to my.left hooting again, bird 30 yards in front of me is going nuts!! So I picked up a crow call and just blew on it as hard as I could to let the guy know I was there.. and low and behold a barred owl flys up a d lands 10 ft.from me and hoots..

Quite embarrassing trying to get an owl to leave I thought for sure was a hunter running the ridge....
