Congress Passes Anti-Protest Law

Recommended Posts

Yes, but this executive order is unlike any signed before. For one thing, those had expiration dates and this one doesn't.

No they didnt. Below is a link to the previously amended order, signed by Clinton in 94. Read it. There is no expiration date. The previous orders only expired by deletion because of the new ones.

Doc, you are shooting the messenger. The article merely reported the facts, get over it.

Small blip on the radar? Its an attack on the 1st amendment.

Ok, so if you insist, I am shooting the messenger .... lol. I have to say that socialists are not my favorite people and I am not one that is known to hang around their web-site. And just like communists, I have a natural distrust of those people who affiliate themselves with that particular idealogy. So if all that boils down to "shooting the messenger" ....... well, guilty as charged.

As far as the actual impact of this law on the 1st amendment, I suppose we can make as much of it as we want and inflate the importance of it to whatever level satisfies us. I just can't get all that excited over it. It may just be that some of these wandering shreds of human debris (to borrow a Limbaugh term .....lol) may be a bit inconvenienced occasionally. I know it's real tough on them, but let's face it, even the first amendment has historically had some legal boundaries. That is one amendment that has been stretched beyond all recognition by the leftists and yet even today, it is not without limits.

No Doc, Im not saying that you like to hang around socialist or communist web sites. You just keep repeating that you are suspicious of info presented by them. All you need to do is read the law and you will see that this particular article is just presenting facts, nothing more.

If you think that this law ONLY affects the "occupy" protesters (whom I dont agree with in the first place), then you are just sticking your head in the proverbial sand. Of course there should be boundaries as far as infringing on others rights, but this law effectively creates a boundary around any and all politicians so that they cannot be actively protested against.

The Lap Dog main stream media of today will not print anything that would make the government look bad. Remember how the media worked under the Soviets? It's pretty close to that in America today. IMHO, the main stream media is the propaganda arm of the government.

I dont like that. But, focusing on hunting, the way antis go about it, its not protesting, its harrassing. Other then getting publicity, it doesnt accomplish anything else except harrasment. Waving signs & yelling, and insulting hunters isnt going to ever get them to adopt an AR philosophy. If the ARers want support, they would stage their antics into non hunters. Go to you tube and search Pigeon Shooting, get into the channel of SHARK and watch thier videos. Point is the law does need some doctoring to clarify what protesting actually is and is not.
