The article states “Violent crime is on the rise in the nation’s largest cities, including New York CityChicago, and Los Angeles”

So AOC thinks no one should get “hysterical” over that fact?

The article states “"If we want to reduce violent crime, if we want to reduce the number of people in our jails, the answer is to stop building more of them," Ocasio-Cortez stated.”

AOC is correct.  If we “stop building more of them (jails)” we will “reduce the number of people in our jails” because there will be no room for new prisoners!  So when no jail cells are available, just send criminals home while they wait for a jail cell to be vacated AOC?

The article states "The answer is to make sure that we actually build more hospitals, we pay organizers, we get people mental healthcare, and overall healthcare, employment, etc. It’s to support communities, not throw them away."

Pay organizers”?  “Organizers” of what?  Who are they and what will they do to advance civilization?

Employment”?  Are those reports of employers not being able to fully staff their businesses and offing bonuses “fake news”?  As long as politicians like AOC support government handouts for unemployment bonuses, free housing, food, medical care, cell phones and other freebies, it will enable many to not work and avoid returning to work.

The article states “Yet she just acted to ensure $2 billion more in spending on the police that protects her.”

Of course, politicians like AOC place their health and welfare first.  They look down upon the American citizenry as worthless expendable idiots who cannot exist without their leading us around by the nose because they “think” they are smarter than us.
