Lol, maybe then I'll get my second ever turkey! Although I think that's our resident bearded hen. I think I see her beard kind of swung back against her breast. So she's off limits. She was the only bird I had in front of me this past spring. Twice.

Nah. She's the only one I've ever seen. We're overrun with coyotes and foxes. This is her third season that we know of and she swings by the backyard frequently where for those years we've had an active fox den very close. I even have a trailcam pic somewhere of her looking into one of the holes in the den in May. Although we've never seen her with any poults, she seems to be a lucky survivor. I wouldn't feel right taking her.
