Chef
Any Bourdain fans here and has anyone seen the move about his life. I don’t want to ruin it for anyone but I think it was one of the heaviest movies about someone’s “life” that I’ve ever seen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Otto
I am a big fan of his, I especially enjoyed his books. I’ll look for the movie and be prepared for a bad ending.

Otto
Gotta finish Chernobyl first, another “uplifting” show.
virgil
I’m also a big fan. Loved his writing and his tv work. Saw the movie. He always struck me as a very complex guy. A bit of a tortured soul.

A bit of a tortured soul. Agreed. It really came out in the movie just how tortured. I did not know him personally but do know people that did. He really was a remarkable person and I found the movie very difficult to watch.I will say his writings are some of the most impactful books I’ve read. Kitchen confidential is a extremely accurate portrayal of what it’s like to work in a kitchen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Jeremy K
My wife watched him a bunch . Most of what I know about him is from hearing joe Rogan speak of him . Truly a unique individual he was.
diplomat019
Im probably in the minority here, but i was never a bourdain fan. after he trashed guy fieri i thought he was kinda a dick. Fieri is who he is and stays in his lane. Corny and all, but he doesn’t tey to be a michelin chef. And when bourdain went out of his way to talk down on him, that was lowbrow. Moho81
I worked in a kitchen through high school and college. Kitchen confidential really spoke to me at that time. I actually just read his last book he wrote before passing and he kinda went back on a lot of what he said in kitchen confidential. I can’t remember it all but he kinda said F’it cook what you like and be you. He took a lot back about what he said about “celebrity chef’s” kind of a complete reversal. I ended up re reading kitchen confidential after that and knowing his end it was hard to read. Really a lot of sings of his troubles in his books. Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkIt’s interesting I share some of his original thoughts on celebrity chefs but it really depends on the person. Some of them let fame get to their heads. Some of them really are fat redhead coke heads who harass staff. And some of them are genuinely good people. It’s just like the rest of us Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I kinda forgot about it to be honest. As I read through kitchen confidential I was just like yep I do that, yep that to, also that. It’s weird how you just do something that everyone else does even though you where never taught to do it. Of that makes any sense.
