Has anybody seen this press release yet? Press Release: Olympic Arms, Inc. Announces New York State Sales Policy FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Olympic Arms is a staunch believer in and defender of the Constitution of thes United States, and with special attention paid to the Bill of Rights that succinctly enumerates the security of our Divinely given Rights. One of those Rights is that to Keep and Bear Arms. Legislation recently passed in the State of New York outlaws the AR15 and many other firearms, and will make it illegal for the good and free citizens of New York to own a large selection of legal and safe firearms and magazines. We feel as though the passage of this legislation exceeds the authority granted to the government of New York by its citizens, and violates the Constitution of the United States, ignoring such SCOTUS rulings as District of Columbia v. Heller - 554, U.S. 570 of 2008, McDonald v. Chicago - 561 U.S. 3025 of 2010, and specifically the case of United States v. Miller – 307 U.S. 174 of 1939. Due the passing of this legislation, Olympic Arms would like to announce that the State of New York, any Law Enforcement Departments, Law Enforcement Officers, First Responders within the State of New York, or any New York State government entity or employee of such an entity - will no longer be served as customers. In short, Olympic Arms will no longer be doing business with the State of New York or any governmental entity or employee of such governmental entity within the State of New York - henceforth and until such legislation is repealed, and an apology made to the good people of the State of New York and the American people. If the leaders of the State of New York are willing to limit the right of the free and law abiding citizens of New York to arm themselves as they see fit under the Rights enumerate to all citizens of the United State through the Second Amendment, we feel as though the legislators and government entities within the State of New York should have to abide by the same restrictions. This action has caused a division of the people into classes: Those the government deems valuable enough to protect with modern firearms, and those whose lives have been deemed as having less value, and whom the government has decided do not deserve the right to protect themselves with the same firearms. Olympic Arms will not support such behavior or policy against any citizen of this great nation. Olympic Arms invites all firearms manufacturers, distributors and firearms dealers to join us in this action to refuse to do business with the State of New York. We must stand together, or we shall surely fall divided. Sincerely, Brian Schuetz President Olympic Arms, Inc.1 point

I have had to load a deer into a car before and seen it done many times. I think it is great that this guy was more worried about getting the deer home than messing up his new benz, but why wouldn't he put it in the trunk?1 point

Reminds me of when I got rid of my truck and had an Impala SS for a short period of time. I had a tub I called the buck tub. Got it at Walmart for like $10 and it fit perfectly in the back seat. I think I put more deer in the back seat of that thing then I did women!1 point

Hard to complain if your stuck in someones pocket. State police are the brute force of the governor. Not that there is anythng wrong with that unless you governor is a moron.1 point

my guess is because most Sheriff's are elected by the people, and if I'm not mistaken, the Head of the NYS Police is appointed by the governor.............that say's it all1 point

Actually, I'm confused about the whole concept behind this "Opt-out" stuff. It seems to me that if they have decided that the information doesn't really have to be released to the public then why does witholding the info have to be done one person at a time. For crying out loud, just make the whole data base out of bounds for the F.O.I.L. stuff. Now somebody has to be hired to manually input all these opt-outs into the data base. What a waste. Just exclude the whole database from F.O.I.L. activity.1 point

this isnt comp insurance against theft of loss its liability against malice use. cost IS the issue. a back door tax. say you own 2 or 3 guns at say $100 ea per year. thats $300 a year not awful bad. however in my neck of the wood if you own 1 you probably own 10 or more. in some cases it could be 4or 5 thousand a year. And yes many many people in upstate own that many guns and more. and lets not overlook the other fact if you insure them THEY ARE REGISTERED!!!! one more pile of bs piled on top of us....1 point

Got this buck last day of shotgun this past season. My second buck. I shot a bigger one in the 2011 season but that's still at the taxidermist getting a shoulder mount. So here's the first deer on my wall. Didn't cost a dime. The taxidermist fleshed it out and kept the hide and cut the skull for me. I cleaned it up and all that and made a plaque out of scrap pine at my job. I like how it looks. 1st of many.1 point

Darn it, I just mapped it out and it looks like you're 5hrs 36min away... or 305.79 miles. I'm guessing that's a tad far,lol You're more than welcome to make the trip if you think a horn or two is worth it.., or if you'd just like to come over and sit under one of my trees and watch the critters.... I spend more time doing that alone than I do finding antlers. If not, I'll just have to see if Red wants to come over and play again!1 point

Well, let's face it. When laws are determined on the appearance of the products, then something has really gone screwy in this country. Obviously there is no point trying to find a firearm that will win a political popularity contest. When they are all done with the spooky-looking guns, they'll be coming after the rest ..... one at a time. And there will be plenty of people that just sit back and shrug their shoulders and say ..... "oh well", just like they do with the banning of modern sporting rifles. Human nature never does seem to improve.1 point

And, the proper response should be that if you have not read the bill, you automatically vote against it. It should never be the case that a legislator would put into law something that they have not read ...... NEVER! If the majority of legislators abided by this, there would be an understanding that if you intend to put forth a bill that has any chance of passing, you had better make sure that adequate time to read it is allowed. I'm afraid that just exactly the opposite is practiced by these dummys. If they don't have time to read and understand and even do some research, they automatically vote for it. Now that is just plain dumb!1 point

What a joke..He is saying what we already know..Most politicians just do what they want...F the rules...F the people. It's gotten to the point where I really think they consider us subjects and we will do as they say.1 point
