As you all know I walk daily and do a lot of woods work and "farming" type activities...during the winter we also have a great elliptical....but I told Mr B last night that I was starting a new routine ...I need to be out the door before day break and off I went at 6:30...later than I wanted...so it will be 5:30 from now on...Well I just got back at 9:48...What a Great Hike!!...Though the wind is coming out of the south east it wasn't bad until the last half mile ......So We'll see how long the old knees will hold out...I already know the route has to change...for I hit a down hill road...that was murder on my feet and knees....I for got walking straight down a steep hill was so hard...Saw some deer ,yote, fox tracks and a lot of song birds....But Mr B. thought I'd be right home...drinking burnt coffee right now....have to have the coffee fix...lol2 points

I'm wondering why he needed to "steal" the shotgun when he already had a handgun on him?? No ammo in the handgun perhaps? Feel bad for the Dick's clerk. Nevertheless, another one that we taxpayers don't have to foot the bill.2 points

No you don't. Just read a few of the threads. All 3 of you should be able to walk into the woods on the first morning, all together and each shoot one at 100 yards in the first 15 minutes...lol1 point

So, I was putting my bowling ball into the back of the car and I spotted deer tracks walking right up to the car. I thought that was kind of cool, but I didn't know the half of it. When I got out to the bowling alley parking lot, I was behind the car to get my ball when I spotted a funny pattern of clean spots on the back of the car. I started to look at my pants to see what kind of a mess I got into when I realized that those clean spots weren't from rubbing my pants on the car. They were small "tongue-sized" marks. Those goofy deer were licking the salt off my car.....lol. I guess I have been maintaining an illegal salt-lick at my house.1 point

I agree with Belo. You can have a $1000 bow or a $200 bow. If the archer has poor form, then the cost of the bow or doodads on it won't help one bit. My biggest issue was wrist torque as well. But after installing the Square-up, I've been shooting tighter groups and have broken off a couple of nocks (no robin hoods yet) I also switched from a WB to a NAP drop away and again back to the whisker biscuit which I think helps me align the shot and shoot more accurately. But that's just me . . .1 point

I'd focus less on the actual bow, and more on the archer. With that said, my biggest issue was wrist torque. They make some grips that can help/eliminate the issue. I guess I would recommend you analyze your shot and determine what it is that you're doing. Are you just inconsistent, or are you shooting low/high/left/right more often then you like (assuming your sight is on). Then, sort of like a golfer will do, you can work on these flaws and/or buy something to help you. One thing I bought recently for my Matthews was a drop away to do away with my whisker biscuit and I love it. Then there are the usual stabilizer, balancers, better arrows etc.1 point

This year with the weather being so cold, we might even see some more intense gobbling towards mid to late may compared to the last few years of intense gobbling during april and early may. Saw a bunch today and they are down to their small flocks. No gobbling today though.1 point

LOL!!! I was " assaulted" with one of those every day of my life, when I was a kid!!! My grandmother actually broke one across my back side once and then got even madder at me because she broke her good sauce spoon. Its about time they passed a "Common sense" law.1 point

I feel perfectly comfortable in my ability to drive safely, yet I still carry auto insurance. I'm perfectly comfortable in my ability to work safely yet I still carry Accidental Death and Dismemberment. I don't drink, smoke or eat crap, I am more active than most and fairly young but I still carry health insurance and get my regularly scheduled screenings. A concealed firearm is another form of insurance I carry for the same reason, because I don't have a crystal ball. I don't know when some drunk is going to plow into me, or when someone on a forklift isn't going to watch where they're going, or when life may throw a disease my way, or when some lunatic is going to walk in with a shotgun while I'm sitting in the barber chair. I don't carry because it makes me feel "macho"; I carry because I am the last line of defense between my loved ones and the Goblins. I don't think it will absolutely guarantee that I will come out on top but I certainly am going to make sure I have the ability to try. I got in a fistfight in High school one time and the guy hit me three times before I got my hands out of my pockets. I vowed that day to never get caught with my hands in my pockets again.1 point

No substitute for pre season scouting: crops, orchards, etc. Of course, the Old forge area doesnt have much of that, and most of the bears in the area are there for the easy garbage, tourist pickings at campgrounds. Once tourist season ends, they disperse a bit. most bears in the ADKS are incidental to deer hunting.1 point

You should include a habitat of astro turf, a golf tee, and droppings underneath him for added realism, lol! J/K- the mount looks great, and a nice change from antlers all the time............ did I just say that!1 point
