NC here is one last post i will make to you and anyone else on this subject . Watch this video . It explains everything about permethrin . Where it came from and how it works. It addresses the non existent health risks also. Happy hunting this fall everyone !

About two years ago, I was mowing the lawn up at my camp when I drove over a nest of white headed wasps (ground bees). They were all over me before I knew what was going on. In a panic, I ran inside to get away from them, trying to brush them off me. They followed me in. In the process, I was stung...alot. My guess, about 75 times, mostly along my R hand, ankles, lower legs and feet. I pulled off my socks, to find them down inside them, and in my pants leg. I was in a bit of a panic ,and knew this could be serious. I grabbed our allergy relief benadryl and took four, then went to my neighbors explaining what happened, asking to stay there for an hour or so to be sure I didnt have a severe reaction. Luckily, I didnt...but an hour later, I was still picking them off. I called the wife to tell her what was happeining, and headed home....it was a long drive, and the next few days were the most miserable I ever had. I had to call in sick a few days, and two months later, my R hand was still swollen twice the size. It took a couple weeks, but we returned to the camp with a vengeance.....fire bombed and dug up the nest, and several others we found. Everything has its place...but not those little bastards. My recommendations...dont do what I did....IF you get attacked with multple bites...get around someone to watch you, and dont be shy about going to urgent care/ED.

On my jog I ran into 2 hens and about 20 Poults! Been a real long time for seeing that. Pictures not great. They all flew off to another field.

Had a group of 22 walk across the front lawn an hour ago. Haven't seen a group of more than 5 at any given time in over a decade.

My homeowners will only cover my B series Kubota if damaged in the building it's stored in. If the building burns for any reason the contents including tractor are covered. If a storm collapsed the building the tractor is covered. If I'm out in the field and a falling tree crushes the tractor or it catches fire or rolls into my pond NO coverage.

So with all that rain I had some drainage issues. So I cut a swail in along the back of the house to let the water coming off the corn field find its way around my house. Can Turkey smell new earth!! lol They were just on it pecking away 10 minutes ago. Really nice looking hens.

I use the yellow Sawyers permethrin on my clothing and the blue Sawyers on my skin in warmer weather. The blue bottle/cans are picaridin and is safe for putting on the skin.

Lifetime came and A couple 8M secured. Now to get down there and get some cameras up and finding this years victim.
