  1. Gregory Martin, 5, of Buffalo, caught this 1 lb 13.7 oz pumpkinseed in Oneida Lake in late August. If confirmed, the fish would set a new state record, and possibly a new world record.

  2. Forgot to set the time & date on the camera. Camera was out for about 10 days before switching out the card. Hopefully the date & Time will be correct on the next batch.

  3. Not meant to be political or intended to suggest anyone votes a certain way. The intent is to make everyone that votes aware of the fact this November there will be a 2024 NYS Constitutional Amendment which will appear as Proposal 1. These proposals usually appear on the BACK or bottom of the ballot and can be easily missed. You can research the proposal here: https://www.nysenate.gov/newsroom/articles/2024/brad-hoylman-sigal/proposal-1-equal-rights-amendment

  4. I don't know about the rest of you but, I paid 62 bucks for 3 sheets of 9 x 11 copy paper which now in likely end up with a bunch of smeared printing on it. The type of weather we hunt in, those papers tags won't stay dry. For 62 bucks, the least this state could do is give out some decent tags.

  7. I guess the state is not concerned about recycling the machines. So much for going green. Do as I say, not as I do.

  8. I got my DMPs at the town clerk office, she pointed to the old machine for printing the licenses. The state was supposed to pick up the old machine and left over paper according to her but never did. I also bought 50 clear plastic luggage tags on Amazon for camp (around $7.00, I think) to attach the silly paper tags to deer with zip ties. That will probably last us forever.

  10. One of those old-guys with a crap memory...... But, I don't remember what the carcass tags were made of before that fancy plastic-style paper, but weren't they just a "card-stock" kind of paper?

  11. While entering an auditorium to give a campaign speech in Milwaukee in 1912, Theodore Roosevelt was shot at point blank range. The bullet passed thru his eyeglass case and the folds of his speech. Despite pleas from staffers to go to the hospital, TR refused and with a bullet lodged in his chest and blood trickling down his shirt gave a 90 minute speech with no microphone or speakers. He apologized to supporters for not speaking louder as he had just been shot. Theodore Roosevelt, the original badass.
