My buddy asked me to do a euro on his son’s deer. He wanted a piece of “driftwood” from the property they hunt. I’m pretty pleased with the results overall, although I don’t recommend working with epoxy resin on a log. Extremely difficult to mix, and apply etc. There were too many runs/drips etc, but it is what it is. Thanks for looking

I have had my best luck calling in the dead of winter when it is cold and the snow is deep, food is scarce and harder to come by. Foxes and Coyotes within earshot seem to come on the run in those conditions. Unfortunately, these days I myself hate being out in those conditions LOL! Al

I tune in to the Brownsville channel at night, quite a few interesting behavior observations have been witnessed. I have heard deer vocalization on occasion but nothing like what I heard at Brownsville the other night when the Deer gathered to feed in large numbers. Sounded like a herd of sheep or goats, non stop bleating and grunting. Also so many Bucks have already shed their antlers, quite a bit earlier than last year. Also the pecking order hierarchy, those big guys just give a certain look and get their point across. Al

The buck from yesterday's sit didn't go far.

Here is a story most don't know about the Roosevelt Luckey sheds found the year before the buck was killed... then stolen from the NYS Fair and recovered years later. https://extapps.dec.ny.gov/docs/administration_pdf/0210caseclosed.pdf The sheds actually scored higher and would have beaten the Jordan buck for the world record had it been taken by a hunter that year.

Heard Yotes down in the swamp last night. They may of caught up with that injured deer. I'll be poking around down there and do some CSI work! lol Beautiful out!

Had 5 young's ones show along with my number one shooter buck fully antlered this afternoon Third time suppose to be a charm. I couldn't get a good shot. Gotta shoot'em before you can hang'em on the wall. The spot still open. He just may make 7 1/2.

Mom and Triplets are good to go as of Christmas! Pretty surprised they are intact, a good Mom.

I think The Last Alaskans was the only realistic “wilderness” show. The others- Last Frontier, Mountain Men, and other such shows are pretty much staged.

We have been having some good luck calling and killing them over in Avoca. Every night we've been out weve killed atleast one.
