  1. I saw a big tom with a hen in the field next to mine .. they were there walking around over an hour Should I set up in my field Saturday and hope he’s around ? Also I’m kinda at the bottom of a hill, I’ve heard turkeys don’t want to go down hill ?? thx

  3. The 40 degrees will not be the killer. Like you said. Even behind fence the rain and damp with the 40 degrees is the killer. Up here it’s so early we don’t have any undergrowth or tall grass for them to bed in to get out of the wind.

  4. Get as close as you can to the property line where you can set up your decoys. Make sure he can get a visual of them from where he was in the field. Give some soft calls around daylight and see what happens. If he comes off the roost with other hens he will hang with them first probably but if he can see your setup and you throw a couple soft calls at him hopefully he will come check you out
