I'm on call this weekend and had to take care of an emergency, so my buddy went out solo Friday night.
With a storm approaching I knew the dogs would be on the prowl, especially at the two new farms we just got access to.
He dropped 2 coyote and a big fox.
This is the second time he's hunted solo and I couldn't be more proud of his success.

I still have two cameras out but this is what I got off of three. Along with these bucks were some nice looking Doe. Also saw bear tracks yesterday in the snow. Pretty odd don't you think?
I used to run trap lines back when I was in school. I remember my first mink catch. Totally exciting, but boy do they stink. I remember we got $35 for it (back in the 60’s). The muskrats did not pay that much but we caught lots.
Good luck with your project.
Looks like they are still in the nocturnal survival state. Still a bit cautious from the gun season. Well, that's how they become "survivors".
Part way through opening day they get the message. After that only the dumb ones, or the over-sexed ones, or the one's that get booted in the butt by hunters show themselves much during the daytime.
So you're not doing it for the fur but trying to thin out some of the egg-eaters. That would be things like possums, skunks, raccoons, foxes, coyotes, and so on. Sounds like a big job.
