When do you start scouting and hanging hanging stands? There are sooo many ticks on the island that I usually do most of my scouting right after the season and move stands accordingly during the season. I know this isn’t the best practice, hence the question.

Just to add to what I said earlier, my fishing buddy I was speaking about grew up in the ghetto, in Georgia. He hated the way he grew up and what he saw. He worked hard to make a change and he is now a restaurateur. (I told you that boy can BBQ)

Water temp has been 70+ in the bay and 60+ in the ocean. Moriches bay is shallow, averaging 8-10 ft deep, so it warms up fast (everyone that has fished it has a sandbar story). Outside once you pass the outer bar, it drops away to 35 and keeps going until at 600 (30-40 miles out) you hit the edge of the shelf and then plummets to 6000+ (the canyons)

I have some black friends. One of my fishing buddies is black. We have been friends for almost 20 yrs. When he first found out I am Sicilian, he laughed and told me I was the Ni**a of the Italian race. Anyway, he has told me more than once that black ppl are more racist than white ppl could ever be. He has gone as far as to ask me not to come over once or twice because certain family members of his were gonna be there and they would lose it if they saw me, the white man, there. (That boy can BBQ!) He has confided in me that his ppl cause more problems for themselves than society could ever. He also said, some of his ppl play the race card only because they are racist and want the white man to suffer. All this from a black man’s lips. And he loves venison.

As you can see from the pic I posted above, I have a Furuno radar. I was hoping to take her out over night this weekend to cash in on the Striper bite in the inlet, conditions are gonna be prefect....I go to test the radar, i am getting a no heading pulse and no bearing pulse error. After some time on the phone with tech support, we came to the conclusion that it is either a faulty cable ($200 + tax & shipping) or defective IC board ($600 + tax & shipping). I’m gonna try to replace the cable first and keep my fingers crossed, after already going WAY over budget for this year.. BOAT Bust Out Another Thousand

I don't even see 12 chipmunks all year! Never see them by the house and almost never in the woods. I saw 3 while deer hunting last fall.

It depends on how long it has been “off the road”. I had the same issue with my boat and trailer. The boat wasn’t registered in a year so I was able to print a temp reg until the stickers arrived by mail. The trailer wasn’t registered for 2 years so the website wouldn’t let me renew, said I had to visit a DMV location.

After sitting for that long, I would replace the thermostat and possibly the water pump. It’s a bit different in the salt. My outboard gets new stats (one per head) and new pump impeller every year and the impeller housing gets done every other year..

I had Oscars in a tank that did that. The only thing they did not eat were the silver dollars - they were too fast. They ate my lobster, snails, eel, catfish...they even ate the plekos, spikes and all.

I figured you wanted the bass. Little did I know. I would love to catch bass in my yard lol

Are the snails bad for the health of the pond? I know nothing of pond maintenance. What was the invasive species? Was it the snails? If yes, what would they do to the rest of the fish in the pond?

I’ve never been polled. Probably because I hang up when I get any weird phone calls. I usually just dismiss them as a scam of some sort.
