  1. The look on his face when he saw it was priceless!! He said it looked like a cross between a snake and an alligator. I thought he hooked a nice largemouth when I saw the rod bend. I was pleasantly proven wrong. It was prob the largest fish on the boat so far. I managed 2 LMB last visit to this spot, arguably heavier but not as long. Hmmm...good question for a thread possibly. How do you determine largest fish...weight or length. For me I guess the heaviest.
  2. Took little squirrel to Forge Pond this morning. I had my 1 crappie and 2 yellow perch. LS had his first ever Pickerel. As he tried to lift it into the boat it came unbuttoned. a nice one. I’d say 20” or so. Nice for down here where a “DEEP” lake is 8’, and this was about 3’ deep. The sky open up and dumped on us, so no pictures. I guess it never really happened then lol.
  3. Soon enuff. I will post an unbiased review for you.
  4. That’s awesome. Where there is a will, there is a way!
  5. It’s a great way to pass time after hunting and before fishing.
  6. It typically takes 2-3 weeks once all the components arrive, depending on how intricate the rod is. Most of that time is curing. Any time i use any epoxy, I allow 24 hours of cure time before proceeding. I will use up to 3 coats of epoxy on the wraps and then allow 3 days of curing after the last one before declaring it fishable. And yes, I sometimes redo wraps over and over until I am happy with them. I was never actually diagnosed with OCD lol.
  7. NO Spring season on the Island . Fact is, I have never taken a turkey. (Insert invite here lol)
  8. I have 5 out of 8 guides done. Still have to do the tip-top and deco wrap before I can start epoxy. Real PITA to make sure all the under wraps and trims are the identical size. Guides get wrapped and re-wrapped sometimes. Lookin good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Couldn’t leave it alone. Had to redo it. Dam OCD lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. This topic is also near and dear to me. Abortion is murder, plain and simple. Medically, you are pronounced dead, not when brain activity stops, but when your heart stops. So, on the opposite side of the coin, life starts when the heart starts beating. The cells are definitely alive before then, but once the heart starts beating, you are a person. @Splitear_Leland maybe this will help you make up your mind..... Aren’t you glad your mom was pro-life??
  11. My landscaper is nowhere to be found. I may actually have to ga back to doing the lawn maintenance myself, ughh. I don’t even own a lawn mower at this point lol.
  12. “I see.”, said the blind man to his deaf wife, as he picked up his hammer and saw. And as he pissed into the wind, he said, “Ah ha, its all coming back to me now.”
  13. Watch the parade of Dems downplay the Corona but its all Trump’s fault. If the media were fair and unbiased, this would be played 24/7 to rub their noses in it.
  14. Just did up one guide. Trying something different this time. Using a laser for preliminary alignment so I started from the guide nearest the tip. He picked the colors of the flag. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. BTW, the ramp at the marina around the block from me is open. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
